Tour of restaurants

Well, girls, there has got to be a little fun in this job and I personally think there is a lot !!! But I wanted to talk about how I get my list of great places to refer my brides for their wedding events.
I have been to probably most of the locations in the area and toured and even tasted food at most of the area's top locations. It's hard to refer something if you haven't seen and tried it out for yourself. I try to keep on top of any new places that open and check them out so I can give my brides the latest information on available locations.
I recently tested out two new locations that would be great for a wedding reception or rehearsal dinner. I had spoken with the event managers of the locations and was invited to come and view the facility and enjoy a lovely meal.
If you are looking for a place for one of your special wedding events, you need to be adventuresome and try out some new places. Instead of going to your local restaurant for dinner on a Friday or Saturday night, check out a new place that might be in the right location or theme for your Rehearsal Dinner. You can let the staff know that you are trying out this place because you are considering using it for your upcoming Wedding. They will be more than happy to show you any private dining rooms they might have, offer you a banquet or group menu for the event. I'm sure you'll get top notch service that evening and you will leave with maybe a great new place to have your special party.
It seems like some of the best places that I have found have not always been on the main "stage" but some are off the beaten path and turn out to be a wonderful place for someones special event.
Show your uniqueness and find a new place that is fun and full of your personality for your upcoming Wedding Event!!!
Yours for a great Wedding

Budgets

As I begin working on a new wedding, the subject of budget comes into play so much. I know it is hard to really make that final decision of how much money you are going to spend, but to be able to make the decisions on your wedding vendors, you have to sit down with family and make that decision of "how much are we willing to spend on our wedding".
So as I progress with my new bride that subject has to be visited in the beginning so I can help her chose the right vendors that will fit into her budget.
There also has to be some amount of "reality check" in that you can't expect to have "champagne" with a "beer" budget. Everyone seems to spend time looking at the bridal magazines filled with all kinds of wonderful scenes for weddings and receptions. But what you need to remember, is that these pictures have no budget and they are creating scenes that make you want to look and have exactly what you see. What I do is help my brides look at those pictures and help them create a similar scene in the budget they can afford. It's great to see how creative you can be and and save money to stay within your budget. Those are the little secrets of wedding planning. It's all about compromise.
So as you are planning your wedding, what are you willing to compromise to create the wedding of your dreams??
